Are you ready to spark a new friendship? Love a good schmooze with someone who shares your interests? Join the Community Club, where seniors and volunteers are paired to foster friendships that span generations.
Each week, Community Club participants connect for quality time — whether it’s coffee, a board game, or a short outing. Every member makes an impact, be it a volunteer bringing joy to someone’s week, or a senior’s opportunity to share their wisdom. Simple visits, week by week, spark lasting bonds.

If you receive or are waitlisted for a government Home Care Package (HCP), or live in an aged care facility, you are eligible to receive a weekly visitor. We’d love to introduce you to your new friend!
If you are a warm and empathic person who loves to connect with someone new, volunteering at Community Club is your chance to make a real difference.
Volunteers visit their senior friends in their homes on a regular, weekly or fortnightly basis. Sessions are recipient-centred; volunteers are ready to be a listening ear or spend time out and about, depending on the recipient’s needs.
Yes! Our priority is matching seniors and volunteers that have shared interests and are likely to “click”. If you’re looking for something specific, like a volunteer with a background in music, language preferences, a specific gender, or something else, we’ll recruit for your unique needs.
Absolutely. Many of our volunteers visit aged care facilities and are happy to facilitate outings, if mobility is not a concern. You can take your walker with you if needed!
We recognise each older person’s unique needs and ensure full support throughout the process. You are welcome to be the dedicated contact on behalf of a senior recipient. We often find the most success when a family member or support person takes part in the senior’s Community Club experience.
We pride ourselves on taking the time to create matches that consider both volunteers’ and recipients’ unique preferences. During the interview process, you’ll have the opportunity to share your specific preferences (be they related to gender, age, suburb, language, activities or other), so we can pair you with someone you’re likely to connect well with.
Volunteering with the Community Club is flexible! Once you’re matched with a senior, you can arrange visit times directly with them. As long as you stay in touch and visit at times that work for you both, there’s no need to stick to a set schedule each week.
