Community Club (ACVVS)

Make a new friend. Create a meaningful connection.

C Care’s Community Club connects volunteers with senior community members for regular social visits.

Whether you would enjoy receiving visits or would like to become a volunteer visitor, we take the time to create a thoughtful match based on shared interests, preferences, language, location and personality.

Visits usually take place weekly or fortnightly for around an hour. You might chat over tea, go for a walk or outing, play cards, listen to music, share a hobby or simply enjoy each other’s company. Every friendship is different—what matters most is the connection you build.

Community Club is C Care’s local program delivered through the Australian Government's Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS). The program supports regular volunteer visits for older people who would benefit from friendship, companionship and greater social connection.

Request Visits

Enjoy conversation and companionship with a volunteer matched to your interests and preferences through the Community Club.

Visits are available to seniors who;

  • Live independently and receive, or are waitlisted for, a Support at Home package
  • OR
  • Live in a residential aged care home, or are waitlisted for one.

Anyone can refer an older person, including their aged care service provider, family and friends, or they can refer themselves.
